Executive Summary:
Jennifer Yane is an artist and writer based in Richmond Virginia.
Raised in Arlington, VA, she has a BA from Madison College (JMU),
an MA from the University of VA and a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth
University. However, none of the above is as important as the fact
that she is an ardent cat (and dog) lover, and has been in 12-step
recovery since 1978. Her business began in 1984 selling her recovery
button designs at conventions and has grown to include posters and
prints, greeting cards and bookmarks, and of course, her original
art.
Ms. Jennifer Yane has shown her original paintings and drawings
at local galleries, and public places in and around the Richmond,
including Art Space Gallery, Shockoe Bottom Gallery, The Unitarian
Church Annual “Gallery,” Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center Gift
Shop, Art Works on Hull St., The Richmond Public Library, Starbucks,
Borders, and Carytown Coffee and Tea.
